This is an important message to all of our stakeholders and beneficiaries regarding the status of Mid Essex Mind and the services that it provides. During the past year we have been working closely with Colchester Mind to ensure the high standards of care and support could be maintained throughout a difficult financial period for the voluntary sector.
We are pleased to be able to inform you that following a successful interim period of working together, Colchester Mind completed on an acquisition of Mid Essex Mind. This means that all services will continue with alternative additional provision being offered across the Mid area over time.
Please be aware that this website will no longer be updated and information can be obtained from the Colchester Mind website www.colchestermind.org donations will need to be made via that link and then by clicking on the Just Giving button.
There will be a period of time whereby not all information maybe current, however all telephone numbers remain the same and can be used for information requests should the need arise. Mid Essex Mind is committed to improving the lives of people who are experiencing mental health problems. It seeks to achieve this through proving a wide range of services and activities empowering people to lead a full life as part of their community.
Mid Essex Mind provides a package of support to individuals, carers and families through a wide range of diverse services from telephone support, advocacy, elderly support, befriending support and physical and emotional wellbeing activities.
Mid Essex Mind is working to provide a wide range of caring support for individuals with mental health needs wherever and whenever it is needed within Mid Essex and to raise positive public awareness of mental health issues and to campaign for better mental health services.
Mid Essex Mind helps people take control of their mental health. We do this by providing high quality information and advice, and campaigning to promote and protect good mental health for everyone.

This is a confidential service for information or if you need advice or support. The service is operational 4pm until 8am, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Lines are manned by trained staff who will be able to advise you.
